Tour T18 - Glassworks Ruckl in Nizbor

The Bohemian glass is famous in the whole world. This private trip includes a guided tour of the Ruckl Crystal glassworks during that you will be shown how the famous Czech glass is made. The Ruckl family which had come originally from Switzerland has been associated with the glass production for centuries. They established their first Czech glassworks in 1846. The glassworks in Nizbor were founded in 1903. They were nationalized in 1945. They have been in Ruckl possession since 1992, when Mr. Jiri Ruckl regained control of the company again. The Ruckl glassworks manufactures an extensive range of cut 24% leaded crystal in a wide variety of decorations from the simple to extremely complex and laborious decorations, with gilt, hand painting and sandblasting.

This trip includes a guided tour of the glassworks, during which you will be shown how the glass is made.

Note: * Tour of the glassworks is possible October to April (Mo-Fri 9:00-13:00) May to September (Mo-Fri 9:00-16:00 and Sat 9:00-12:00) * The reservation of the tour is needed * It takes about 45 minutes to reach Nizbor from Prague by car

• Driver only: you walk around the sight-seeing spots by yourself
• Driver-escort: driver escorts you from parking to sight-seeing spots and gives basic explanation in English, helps you with tickets etc.

• Mercedes-Benz E-class: a limousine for up to 2 passengers and guide

Payment conditions:

• The rates are quoted PER VEHICLE (not per person) and include VAT, fuel expenses, parking fees, guiding fee in English or German language (if applicable) and driver/guide meal expenses. The rates DO NOT include admission fees.
• The prices are quoted and will be charged in Czech Crowns. The price in Euro is for your information only.
• Full prepayment is requested 1 working day before the service date.
